Meet our Principal, Ibrahim M. Osman, an accomplished engineer with a wealth of qualifications and experience:

Education:

• B.Sc Honors Civil Engineering, University of Khartoum, Sudan, Africa (1985)

Professional Credentials:

• Registered Professional Engineer in Arizona and California but also in several other states, including Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Maine, Missouri, Nevada, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.

Certifications:

• Certified Professional Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ): Mr. Osman is the only Certified Professional Stormwater Quality expert in Yuma since 2005. His certification makes him the 109th professional in the entire United States to achieve this distinction.

Professional Journey:

• Mr. Osman's career spans decades, with a notable track record in civil engineering and stormwater management.

Public Service:

• He contributed significantly to the Yuma community during his tenure as a civil engineer with both the Yuma County Flood Control District and the City of Yuma.

• His role involved reviewing numerous drainage and flood control projects in both public and private sectors.

Floodplain Management:

• Mr. Osman was intricately involved in the process of floodplain determination and permitting, including floodplain use permits, variances, Letter of Map Revisions (LOMRs), Letter of Map Amendments (LOMAs), and Conditional Letter of Map Revisions (CLOMRs).

Infrastructure Inspection:

• He assumed responsibility for the annual inspection of bridges and culverts, ensuring their structural integrity and safety.

Stormwater Program Management:

• As the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project Manager for stormwater programs for the City of Yuma, Mr. Osman played a pivotal role in implementing the City’s Stormwater Management Program.

• His leadership ensured compliance with the Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) municipal permit, reinforcing environmentally responsible practices.
